Beginner Guide

Drill for Eggs Beginner Guide

Drill for Eggs runs on a repeatable loop: train Power, drill downward, secure an Egg, dodge Animal Guards, deliver it back to your Farm, and hatch it into a cash-earning Animal.

1

Train Power

Start by training your Power so your character can drill more effectively and reach deeper areas. Build up enough Power for your next digging trip before you head down.

2

Drill Downward

Enter the digging area and move downward through the terrain while managing your strength and route. Aim to reach an Egg location without taking unnecessary risks.

3

Collect an Egg

Grab an Egg once you reach it. The Egg becomes the objective of the return trip, so skip the detours and prepare to leave the digging area right away.

4

Avoid Animal Guards

Animal Guards protect the underground route. Keep your distance, pick a safe path, and preserve the Egg instead of forcing a dangerous encounter.

5

Return to the Farm

Carry the Egg back to your Farm. A successful delivery is required before the Egg can hatch, so treat the trip home as the most important part of every run.

6

Hatch Animals and Build Cash

Hatch the Egg at your Farm and keep the Animal working there. Repeat short, safe runs and reinvest Animal income into Power and upgrades to grow the whole cycle.

Quick Tips

  • Your first successful delivery matters more than a deep run — one hatched Animal starts your cash flow.
  • Short, safe routes beat risky deep dives while your Power is still low.
  • Animals keep earning even while you are offline, so hatch early and hatch often.
  • Spend your first Cash on Power and drill upgrades before chasing rarer Eggs.
Tier List

Drill for Eggs Tier List

Rank Eggs and Animals by progression value, earning potential, and acquisition difficulty. Early players should lock in a safe cash cycle first, then push toward deeper and rarer targets.

S

Highest Priority

Late-game progression

Rare Eggs from deeper or more difficult areas
High-value Animals hatched from rare Eggs

These targets offer the strongest long-term value and are worth prioritizing once your Power and survival are sufficient.

A

Strong Priority

Mid-game progression

Higher-depth Eggs you can recover consistently
Animals with strong recurring Cash output

They balance earning potential, acquisition difficulty, and repeatable progression better than anything else in the mid-game.

B

Reliable Progression

Early- to mid-game progression

Common Eggs within your current digging range
Early Animals that establish Farm income

Easy to obtain and perfect for building your first stable income loop — the foundation every later upgrade stands on.

C

Temporary Use

First runs and basic setup

Low-depth Eggs below your current Power level
Lower-output Animals replaced by stronger hatches

Useful while starting out, but swap them out as soon as safer and more profitable options become available.

Cash Guide

Drill for Eggs How to Get Cash

Cash in Drill for Eggs comes from hatching Animals, keeping your Farm productive, and making every Egg run faster and safer. Secure a reliable income source first, then reinvest into Power.

Best for sustained progression

Return Eggs to the Farm and hatch them into Animals. Productive Animals on the Farm are the core recurring income source in Drill for Eggs.

Focus on completing safe Egg runs and hatching consistently before chasing difficult targets.

Offline Earnings

High

Passive

A developed Farm keeps producing while you are away, so productive Animals stay valuable even when no digging is happening.

Claim your offline earnings when you return, then invest them into upgrades that improve the next active run.

Improves future income

Use Cash to strengthen the Farm — better Animals, more reliable Egg recovery, and faster progression through the whole digging loop.

Prioritize upgrades that improve Power, survival, or recurring Animal income instead of short-term spending.

High at the Start

Best for unlocking income

Active digging is the fastest way to obtain the Eggs that create new Animals and expand your Farm's earning potential.

Repeat routes you can finish safely before attempting deeper areas guarded by stronger threats.

Progression Guide

Drill for Eggs Drill Upgrades

Drill Power decides how efficiently you break through underground terrain. Upgrade when the next Power tier meaningfully shortens digging time or opens a safer route to better Eggs — not just because you can afford it.

Upgrade StageRecommended ActionPower ImpactBest For
Current Drill TierKeep using your current Drill until digging starts to feel slow in the areas you farm regularly.Provides the baseline Power your present route needs.Early progression, learning underground routes, and building a resource reserve.
Next Practical UpgradeBuy the next tier when it noticeably improves digging speed or unlocks a more rewarding area without excessive delay.Improves excavation efficiency and turns slow routes into practical ones.Players who already complete their current route consistently.
Route-Opening UpgradeSave for a higher Power tier when it unlocks a deeper area with better Egg potential and a manageable return route.Expands access to more challenging underground content.Mid-to-late progression and players who have mastered safer farming areas.

Common Upgrade Mistakes to Avoid

  • Spending every resource on upgrades before securing enough for the next run.
  • Buying the upgrade immediately without checking whether the new Power level actually changes your route or Egg options.
  • Treating access to a deeper area as an automatic reason to enter before planning an escape route.
Area Guide

Drill for Eggs Egg Locations

The deepest area is not always the most efficient choice. Compare entry requirements, Egg potential, digging time, and the risk of losing an Egg before committing to a route.

AreaEntry ConditionEgg RarityRecommended PowerPotential RewardMain Risk
Early Underground AreasUse these areas to learn movement, build resources, and practice returning safely.Accessible with the starting progression and lower Drill Power.Common to lower-tier Eggs.Starting Power or the first practical upgrade.Reliable early Eggs and resources for improving the Drill.Moving deeper before learning the return path.
Mid Underground AreasEnter only after confirming you can complete both the route in and the route back consistently.Requires improved Drill Power and enough resources to support longer runs.Higher-value Eggs than the early areas.A mid-progression Power tier that keeps digging speed consistent.Better Egg opportunities and faster progression once the route is familiar.Carrying an Egg through a route that is too slow or exposed to guards.
Deep Underground AreasTreat deep runs as planned expeditions: prepare resources, mark a fallback route, and leave immediately after securing the Egg.Requires advanced Drill Power and preparation for longer travel and more danger.Higher-rarity Eggs with the greatest potential value.A high Power tier that avoids excessive digging time. The strongest Egg opportunities available along the deeper route.Losing the Egg on the return trip to distance, guards, or a poor escape route.
Survival Guide

Drill for Eggs Animal Guards Guide

Animal Guards turn the return trip into the most dangerous part of every Egg run. Plan your exit before picking up an Egg and avoid routes that exceed your current movement and Drill capabilities.
